Our internships

City Space Architecture promotes a range of educational programmes that combine research, artistic practice, and civic engagement around public space, with a strong focus on learning-by-doing.
At the core of these activities is the Museo Spazio Pubblico (Public Space Museum), our creative and artistic headquarters in Bologna, which functions as a laboratory where students, early‑career professionals, and researchers engage with exhibitions, public programmes, and international networks.
Internships hosted at the museum typically involve support to curatorial projects, communication and outreach, event organisation, and documentation of research and art-based initiatives in public spaces, offering interns direct exposure to global debates and local experiments.
These internship programmes are framed within City Space Architecture’s broader educational initiatives, including the Public Space Academy, the web magazine Mastering Public Space, and project-based learning connected to international collaborations with UN‑Habitat and other partners.
Interns in Bologna often contribute to festivals, workshops, and advocacy projects - such as film festivals, mapping activities, and thematic programmes on resilience, gender, and climate - gaining both practical skills and opportunities to connect with a global community of practitioners and scholars.
