Born in New York, immigrated to Israel in 1972 from Argentina. She studied classic and academic drawing and oil techniques under artist Israel Zohar and watercolour techniques under artist Aaron April (1978-85).   Her first exhibition took place in Dortmund, Germany, in 1990, followed by another in 1992. In Israel she exhibited her work at the Nora Gallery, The Jerusalem Theatre, the Shoham Gallery, Tel-Aviv and in group exhibitions at the Architectural Association Gallery (Old Jaffa), the French House at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Givat Ram, The Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery, Tel Aviv. During 2004-2006, a series of her works was exhibited at The Latvia Association of Architects, Riga, the Daugavpils History and Art Museum and the Liepaja City Museum, Vilnius, Lithuania, the Museum of Modern Art, Sabille, Latvia and the Museum of Talsi, Latvia, and an individual exhibition was held at the Centro Cultural Galileo in Madrid (2006). In 2010 she exhibited in group exhibitions at the Cologne City Hall “Spanischer Bau” and the Englischer Hof Alten Synagoge, Robel, Germany. The short video art on her paintings, “City Dusk: Between Daydream and Nightmare” (dir. Elena Canetti) was selected on the web among Best Painting Movies; Best Art Movies; Top 10 urban-landscape movies and other nominations.

Talia has a PhD in English Literature (HUJI), is a language editor and author of The Quest for Wholeness in Four Bildungsromane (Verlag, 2010). She has taught poetry in the English Department and academic writing in English to PhD outstanding students and the “Amirim” Honors Program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and has co-taught an interdisciplinary course at the Bezalel academy of Arts and Design (with Arch. Nilly R. Harag) which was presented at the Students’ Architecture Biennale (2012).
